How Often Does My Dog Need a Full Groom?

Most dogs benefit from a full groom every four to eight weeks depending on their breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Dogs with longer or thicker coats typically need more frequent grooming to prevent matting and keep their coat healthy. Shorter haired breeds can often go a little longer between full grooms.

A good rule of thumb is this: if you can hear your dog's nails clicking on the floor, their coat looks dull, or they are starting to smell between baths, it is probably time to book. Staying on a regular schedule also makes each groom easier and more comfortable for your dog over time.

A few things to keep in mind before your appointment. Our mobile spa van is equipped for small to medium sized dogs. Full groom haircuts are available for dogs 30 lbs and under. If your dog has matting or a coat in rough condition, additional fees may apply and we will always let you know before we get started.
